This was a good episode but in discussing superannuation I think Stuart over simplified things with his comparison of Host Plus vs Australian Super. With the large range of products that super funds provide these days it’s not clear what exact products he was comparing. As an example Host Plus actually provides two indexed options that are below 0.1% in annual fees which in Stuarts own words ‘Fees are certain returns are not’ seems better than Australian Supers 0.66% fee. There’s plenty of other options besides Host Plus that are sub 0.5% fees as well. In my mind this part of the podcast felt a bit contrived. In spite of this I still really enjoyed this episode – guys keep up the great work.
