I thought that the book was very easy to follow with the diagrams & charts, but I was shocked as to the amounts budgeted for clothing, footwear, household appliances, holidays & furniture. Clothing, footwear, household appliances & furniture can easily be found at a 2nd hand shop, eg, Salvos, Vinnies, where you would spend a maximum of $300/year, even including the repairs yourself on the 2nd hand furniture. Also, a family holiday of $3000 seemed excessive. I would prefer to camp, bush walk or stay at a cheap hostel or caravan park if I was seriously trying to get ahead. However, I realise that some people might not be able to go without, so that is their choice. Maybe I spend too little money- oh well. Thanks for the book & I will re-read it.
