Starting again, Thanks
Hi Bryce and Ben, I purchased your book3 months ago (Armchair guide to property investing) and then discovered your podcast, which I am catching up on still and enjoying! After separating 3 years ago and coming out the other side with a fraction of what I needed to purchase another family home and starting a career again, I took the first step away from being frozen with fear, doing nothing, and purchased a one-bedroom unit 7 months ago, now officially classed a rentvestor. This has been a learning experience, and I wish I had discovered your books and podcasts before doing this, but you have helped me view this as a learning experience and to not let this be the ‘only’ one and to keep going. Would love to hear more about investing for those who are older (I am a 48) single parents who no longer own their own home to leverage and who essentially are starting again where renting while still investing may be an option. A lot of information is geared around owning and leveraging the home you live in to start, which is not possible for me. I cannot see myself being able to afford a home in the suburb we live in (metro Melb) being a single mum of two, but have hope through rent-vesting that I may still be able to work towards a better future for my children and eventual retirement someday.
