The end of 2017 was a hard one for my fiancé and myself. I had just been made redundant due to the mining company I was employed by going into administration on top of that our son was due to be born in another 2 months! We had some savings but didn’t feel comfortable at all. Fortunately for us I stumbled upon the property couch and became obsessed. Thanks to moneysmarts and all the information I have absorbed through the show we were able get through that hard time and when I found a new position used the trapped surplus for a deposit on our first home. We are now manufacturing equity in this property, by doing some renovations, which will go towards purchasing our first investment property.
